Established in 2012 shortly after graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, the Didsbury String Quartet comprises a talented ensemble of freelance musicians. With performances spanning across the globe, our musicians bring a wealth of experience to every event.
Our journey has taken us from prestigious television and radio appearances, including shows like Peaky Blinders, Victoria, and Bridgerton, to collaborations with renowned artists such as Ellie Goulding, Gary Barlow, Sting, and Lady Gaga. Some of our musicians can also be found gracing the pits of the West End in productions such as Hamilton and The Phantom of the Opera, or performing with esteemed orchestras like the BBC Philharmonic, Manchester Camerata, and the Hallé.
Originally formed to provide exceptional entertainment for private functions, the Didsbury String Quartet has delighted audiences at countless weddings and events, infusing each occasion with elegance and charm. Our extensive repertoire spans classical, jazz, ragtime, film/TV, and pop genres, offering a diverse selection to suit every taste. We welcome requests at events and are even happy to arrange special pieces for your event.
Booking with us is simple and hassle-free. After confirming availability, a £100 deposit secures your booking. Three months before your event, finalise your timings, and a month before, choose your music selections. The remaining balance is due fourteen days before your event. If space or budget constraints prevent a full quartet, we also offer options like our String Trio and String Duo.
